Serendipity

It is sad knowing that some things will never happen again. That was this past Easter. It was wonderful having everyone together; we missed those who could not be with us. Even still, it was one of the largest and most loving gathering I can remember. Serendipity at it’s finest.

I want to commemorate some of the best times we have had together as a family. I don't want to take them for granted and I don't want them to pass by without reflection.

Easter 2022 was one for the books. I don’t have to look too hard to see this - it is in the faces of everyone around. A genuine, fun-loving experience.

From here on, we can only be so lucky as to have these precious experiences again. In reality, some of us may no longer be here when these holidays pass next. That's just the way of life.

It makes me flinch at the thought that my daughter will not have the opportunity to enjoy the childhood that I had - surrounded by cousins my age and loving family all around. She will not have that. That is my cross to bear.

But what she will have are loving memories and all the wisdom we have learned from them. Forever we shall keep them in our hearts; we must tell the stories of the beloved family that are no longer with us. That is how their legacy will live on.
