Balance
“Balance does not exist. Every ‘yes’ is a ‘no’ to something. Prioritize. Then hold yourself vehemently accountable.”
“Priority” is measured by the quality of time rather than quantity. Especially in my line of work - there is always more to be done. There is not doubt who matters most in my life. Right now, the balance of life means I spend less time with them than work; time I will never get back.
It is solely on me to be present, patient, and loving when I have that precious time with them.
“Presence is an on/off switch, not a slider. You are either present or not.”
Because balance is a lie.
